What i find weird after watching so many of the old slasher horror flicks i've noticed something. Apparntly someone got really fucking bored and started giving people super powers. In nightmare on elm street they made the person who drew people into her dreams and the Dream Master who was a complete badass like freddy. In Friday the 13th we saw psychics and Epitaths and the niece of Jason. Seriously I know their are other examples but can someone please explain where people are getting all the damned powers from fighting slasher charcters.

The reason you find all that stuff in slasher flicks (especially the sequels) is that it all falls under the general category of "magic", and you can use magic to fortify weak scripts full of plot holes and made with zero thought. How did Jason get over there so fast when he limps everywhere? We need a dangerous antagonist, how can we make them threatening? Magic. Laaaazzzzy.
lol oh jeeze.
You need to check out Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. It's a movie about a slasher shot in a documentary style. It covers what you're asking and more.
