If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Luis

Hitler, was he a good leader and not so bad of a person?

I understand majority of people in this planet would say that Hitler was a horrible human being, but many do not want to recognize that he was a great leader. Leaders are not just people who bring good to the situation. A person like Hitler can be consider a good leader such as Jesus was a leader, of course they both are completely opposites. I'm not putting them in the same category of how they where as people but their actions that determined them as leaders. They both stood for a cause they believe was right. You can agree or disagree with that statement, the question is do you think Hitler was a good leader.

Many people would say he was evil, but do you think in his mind he thought his actions where evil or good. I am not anti-semitic, homophobic or racist but he had a lot of good points and trying to make a perfect world....an Ethiopia. I disagree and hate how went around to achieve that goal, but his goal of a perfect world was a great.

Hitler was evil, plain and simple. His evil can be attributed to a narcissistic personality, which blinded him to the way the world really works. Hitler lived in his own little world.

However, his Utopian (not Ethiopian) ideas which sprang from his narcissism made him seem like an idealist to others, which is why others were drawn to him. Lots of narcissists believe in such notions of a perfect world where evil can be vanquished, from Joseph Stalin and Jim Jones to John Lennon and Ayn Rand. But it is these Utopian world views that often lead to attrocity, because while narcissistic leaders may have concepts of good and evil, their notions are based upon their own egotism. They believe that anything done for the sake of furthering their pathological adgenda is noble and that everything else is evil. They don't want to create a better world for everyone, they merely want to create a world in their image.

So, no. Hitler was not a good leader, and certainly not a good person.

I understand your point, he brought hope to the German people and was an excellent orator-really got the people going. As you said though, you appreciate him for his goal but his Utopia(I think what you meant instead of Ethiopia ?) was faulty..I mean he didn't want to make the world perfect, he put blame onto a scape goat and want to exterminate "inferior" races.. I mean Mein Kampf was just a complete slur of hatred. Hm I don't know, without experiencing it personally it's hard to judge but it seems a perfect world was not his mission.

he could motivate the masses, a nation enough for them to die for their country and follow him all the way to hell. but he couldn't interact with individuals. if you had a conversation with him during the war it would've been clear to you that he was by no means mentally stable and on top of that he was so stubborn to the point that it cost germany the war.

Using charisma and the ability to play on the insecurities of the people of Germany during that particular time time in history is pretty much the only argument I would give to even qualify this question. But let's be honest: if Hitler was a good leader, we probably would all be speaking German right now and have Swastikas replace the Stars and Stripes here in America.

Not so a bad a person? I think his actions during his last hours before committing suicide disqualifies that statement completely. If not the Holocaust.

Hitler was good at controlling masses of people. This does not necessarily make him him a good leader.

You have to remember that he lived in Germany right after World War 1. Germany was so piss poor at the time. They couldn't manufacture anything thus the economy was dead. They also had to pay war retrobutions to neighboring countries after the war. The German people were poor and hungry. He used this and many other things to his advantage. He created a scape goat out of non-aryan people. To him, those people (jews and many others) weakened the country's economy and morality. He saw this and took advantage of masses of desperate people. He was also Austrian, not German. He was not a great leader, but a great opportunist.

I see most corporate CEOs follow this trend. But that's another rant.

He was a mass murdering fuckhead. :D

But a lot of people got away with it. Stalin killed millions of his own people, died in his sleep. Well done there.

Here's the problem with the Hitler argument. As you can tell by some people's responses, you can see how it's impossible for people to OBJECTIVELY look at the Person. Through ever discussion with Hitler's name in it, you'll automatically see such responses as "Fuck Hitler", or "Nutjob", or "Crazy Motherfucker" as people's "opinion". When in fact they over look SEVERAL aspects of Hitler's actual PERSONA.

Was he a Great/Good leader? No
What he WAS however, was a GREAT MOTIVATOR. Someone that is able to give people encouragement to do something that is personally unpleasant or harmful. He was able to MOTIVATE the German people to "better" themselves by turning their anger from War World 1, and the Great Depression, into a hatred of an "Un-pure Race" of people.... the Jews. He was then FURTHER able to manipulate the hatred of the "Jewish owned" businesses and banks, into a means of tearing apart the concept of "Family" and "Tradition" and turning it into a feeling of "Racial Pride" by introducing the "Perfect Aryan" characteristics. This allowed followers to PREJUDGE people based on their LOOKS and not their actions. He furthermore motivated the people of Germany to work their way OUT of the Depression by crushing Unions that looked after the 'interest of the worker' and instead made them work for the betterment of the BUSINESS regardless of the effect on the worker's life or income, by claiming Unions as "Un-Germany Communists".

The old joke "At least he made the trains run on time" is accurate on more levels than one. Germany's trains DID run on time for several reasons ONE of which was the SOLE PURPOSE of being able to move MASSIVE amounts of people in one direction AT A TIME. This was BOTH Militarily important for troop movement, as WELL as his personal bias against the Jews later on.

Where Hitler FAILS to be a "leader" of any form is the fact that he HAD TO micro-manage. Trying to handle ALL aspects of Germany's military, financial, political, and "Social" improvements is where Hitler's failure is complete. His POOR judgment on Military aspects cost him Africa, Russia AND the ability to defeat England and fight off the D-Day invasion. His inability to understand finances cost him Germany's hardworking economy by SPENDING it on short-term goals and not actual security for the future. His CONSTANT use of arrests, jails, and executions against his political OPPONENTS while still facing ASSASSINATION attempts should show that his "Political power" was never actually as popular with the German people as it's believed to have been. Then of course we go into the "Social" aspects that are ridiculous to base GENETIC aspects on a Religion that you can join or leave VOLUNTARILY.

So, after further review...

Hitler as a good (or great) LEADER is wrong. He was a great MOTIVATOR, and that's ALL.
