Hitler, was he a good leader and not so bad of a person?

I understand majority of people in this planet would say that Hitler was a horrible human being, but many do not want to recognize that he was a great leader. Leaders are not just people who bring good to the situation. A person like Hitler can be consider a good leader such as Jesus was a leader, of course they both are completely opposites. I'm not putting them in the same category of how they where as people but their actions that determined them as leaders. They both stood for a cause they believe was right. You can agree or disagree with that statement, the question is do you think Hitler was a good leader.

Many people would say he was evil, but do you think in his mind he thought his actions where evil or good. I am not anti-semitic, homophobic or racist but he had a lot of good points and trying to make a perfect world....an Ethiopia. I disagree and hate how went around to achieve that goal, but his goal of a perfect world was a great.

Everyone has their moments in the sun right? But no the overall Plan of Hitler was just grossly inhumane and I cannot admit that he was a good leader it just makes me sick to my stomach.

and the comparison has been made before, but the idea of selling out everyone and everything for self is very much alive and well in corporate america and virtually every politician and business man (business man generically referring to "the man," not mom and pop business owners) out there... the defining difference between them and hitler is scope of action, ability, and fear of consequence...

there are many current and historical events that serve as good examples of this, we all have the internet, and probably occasionally read a news article or two...; ▶ Reply to This

Saying he was a good leader while knowing of all the atrocities and monstrosities he committed seems like a paradox in and of itself.

I do agree, however, that he was a strong leader. I think that is more of a suitable label for what you are trying to say. He unified the German people against a common 'enemy', he wisely used propaganda and any legislation at his disposal, and he fought hard. The guy was intelligent. You had to be intelligent and tough to pull off some of the things he did during his time in power. If it wasn't for Russia, Hitler might have taken over all of Europe.

Saying he was a good leader, however, just makes doesn't sound right to me. He was definitley strong though. I hope you get what I'm trying to say; ▶ Reply to This

In my opinion he most likely thought he was doing right decisions, is just like Saddam Hussein or Bin Laden, in their mind they are correct and saw that their attacks as justifying their cause. Like I said before, I personally disagree with how Hitler decided to do things. I think if Hitler would not have been a anti-semitic and committed genocide, he would have probably be looked at a different way we do now. Maybe even praised.; ▶ Reply to This
