High School Experiences/Bullying
Off somewhere else I just read another "High School was terrible!" thread where everyone complains about bullies and how useless it all is after the fact.
I'm currently a sophomore and have experienced none of this doom and gloom I always hear about. In fact, school has been smooth sailing since Jr. High for me.
What is/was your High School experience? Sort of a sub-topic, but what do you think about how your school dealt with things like bullying?
What were your teachers, friends, etc like?

Well, it was fun. It wasn't something traumatic, nor it warranted "Oi, seriously, fuck off already", though there were moments were it was quite close to that point. I had my ups and downs in School, I was "popular" (Not the stereotypical "Cool Popular" department), I could join any of the groups or "cliques" and spend my time with 'em. While there was that "Cool Popular" group, I could talk to some of 'em, but the rest were a bunch of idiots that you sometimes hope the worst for 'em.
It's really hard to describe it, but I do miss School (It had Elementary and High School together) and sometimes wish I could go back there, or teach classes there (I do visit my HS every once in awhile, since it's reaally close to my house). The teachers were awesome, they really cared for ya, and even now that I graduated, they still remember you, like "Hey! How's it going, how's college working for ya?". All my friends and schoolmates were really cool, and by US standards, the group might have been a bit small (Around 90 classmates) and we all knew each other somehow. So that part was cool.
Aside from that, I really loved my time in School.

I'm currently a freshmen, and I'm loving High School. Way, way cooler then my old private school. And the best part is, my new friends aren't total fucktards.

I was alone, and I had no friends. No, I wasn't an emo or goth chick. I was invisible, and I kind of melted into the background, i guess.
Nobody every really picked on me, except for a couple of times, but, like I said, my classmates just left me alone.
Never had any problems with the teachers. I think they liked me because I actually did my homework and participated.
Except for the occasional mind-numbing boring days and the excessive loneliness, high school was actually ok
Now, College. . .oh, the craziness!

I'm with Pookie. Pretty much I was invisible. The only time anyone talked to me was if they wanted me to ask my brothers something or when they mistook me for my younger sister.
