I am a big PC gamer most the time, so that is where the free time is normally spent after work and once I settle things around the house.

Recently I had gotten back into watching for entertainment, after seeing Pulp Fiction for the first time at a friends house (Always heard of the movie, knew about it, just never saw it for years) and was pumped up to to see more great classics. Even got Netfilx.

But then I ran into the dilemma of WTF should I watch? I have been watching the Walking Dead, but I am looking for some great movies, something I can finish with in the evening and not feel the need (Walking Dead and Breaking Bad I think Demand this) of staying up way too late to see what happens next. I try pick out the movies my self, but I am ocd as shit and take 30 minutes to decide on a damn film.

Was wondering if you Spill member could shoot me up with your top 3 picks for movies and maybe why I should watch them.

depends what you looking to get out of watching them? if it's just something you can switch off most of your brain and just be entertained or do you want to be drawn in and feel the movie or just want to laugh your head off with no real thought?

Give us some clues and we can give you some suggestions, ie horror, true stories, comedies etc etc

Well I like B movies, but I am kind of looking for some classic movies I might have missed or don't know about. Most of my movie experience comes from watching stupid comedies at my friend's houses back in High School; most of them Kevin Smith films; or by watching what ever the biggest blockbusters where out that year.

Trying to find movies that really every one should see at least once, but might not be high on the radar of people who don't commonly get the chance to watch good movies. I am open to anything really.

apart from moonrise kingdom the rest are British movies that are well worth a look

Well just in case you haven't seen this:

And maybe for some stand alone films you could try movies like Gladiator which is an awesome historical drama. Considering you are a game nerd I think you should also check out Real Steel, District 9. I am making this list thinking that you haven't seen almost any of the popular films that were released either in the past or more lately. If you want I can try and give you some movies that aren't so popular as the ones I put up.

I mean I have seen most of the major trilogies. Anything that is a basically a franchise at this point I have known about and have seen, I am more the less looking for single movies that may not be well known but are worth the watch.

@Artie yeah stuff like that, just some movies that are good but might have slipped under the radar as far as stuff you see advertised or talked about.

You may have never seen these three movies
