It's only on its third issue, but I love it. Very funny and very original. It started out kind of meh, but everything clicked in issue #2 and it's just getting better. So, have you read it and, if so, what do you think?
Oh, and here's some info for those who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about: http://chewcomic.blogspot.com
Trying to find issues of this has been so goddamn tough, it's such a hot goddamn ticket. I'm going to have to wait for it in trades, all I have is the B&W reprint of issue 1.
It's a great series though, from what I can tell. You can always count on Image for some great stuff.
Yeah, I've been pretty lucky in getting it. Granted, I got issue #2 a week later and even then there was only one issue left. Thankfully, there were quite a few of #3 when I went in last week. Yeah, I love this series, but if you have to wait for the trades just remember to buy it when it's out. It's really a lot of fun.
The thing is, I don't go to the shop every month, and when I do go to the store, I don't go on Wednesdays, I go on Friday or the weekend when I have time.
I've really been digging this comic (and so has everyone else by the way it has been flying off the shelves). The art really made an impression starting from the first issue and the story gained momentum starting in issue #2. I'm hoping future issues will go into more of the character's back-stories. I also like the set up that we'll be dealing with several "cases" instead of just focusing on that one specific criminal group.
ps. NPR even featured this comic last week. Amazing to me :)
Really? Awesome! I'm going to look for it and I might even put up a link. Btw, I have this bad feeling that Mason may end up being a bad guy. I hope not. He's awesome! I like him so much I even started a group dedicated to him. themasonsavoyisatotalfuckingbadassgroup
I really dig this series so far, I like the art style (it's like a weird Gris Grimly cartoon style almost) and I like the crazy mix of characters it's including (like the new reporter who can describe food so accurately that people actually experience tasting it). However, it doesn't quite feel like it's moving towards something yet, which is sometimes the kiss of death for a fledgling series. Hopefully, it finds some legs in the next few ish's and clearly defines where it's headed and why.
I agree with you. As much as I enjoy this book, there isn't much of a story. Just a simple premise and a lot of silliness. Still, I think it could get better. I'm curious to know the truth behind the bird flu and chicken prohibition.
I had no time to do anything proper Guy! LOL
I have a question for anyone who cares... I had a conversation with my aunt the othe day. About the {Cleveland Show }!!! Well, we both agreed that when we saw the first ep. That we were, uhhh offended!...
