All I can say, is that one you see this movie, you will instantly become a fan of not just Asian cinema, but also Donnie Yen. His absolute best acting performance. If anyone believes that there is a better martial arts drama on earth RIGHT NOW (past twenty years), you need to see this film, to know how wrong you are.
Don't know if there has ever been such a good combination of writing, acting, martial arts choreography, directing, and editing in one martial arts film. A TRUELY AMAZING FILM, BEGINNING TO END!
Still my favorite matrial arts movies are the 70s ones: Drunken Master, 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Shaolin Wooden Men, Snake in Eagle's Shadow, Five Deadly Venoms, etc.
