Green Hornet’s release date may have been bumped back a few months, but the good news is that hasn’t slowed down the film’s production process. Sony announced today that filming has commenced on The Green Hornet and yep, it’s still directed by Michel Gondry and starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou and Cameron Diaz.

That’s particularly good news considering this project’s spotty history of false starts and failed good intentions. It’s been a long road getting The Green Hornet made but it looks like, at last, this thing is really getting done.

As of a few days ago it’s slated for a December 17, 2010 release. They’ve got plenty of time to get it right.
