I picked up Crossed #2 (Ennis zombie story) and Battlefields, Flight of the Night Witches (WWII female russian pilots story)...and well, both issues show a very graphic scenes. If you've read the Boys, Pro...Punisher and going all the way back to Preacher and HellBlazer.
I'm a big Garth Ennis fan..but if I ever talk to him at a Comic con I want to say, "Did you never get over a bad break up?"
Yea, I agree. Of course, I was being facetious when I was talking about rape being some broken relationship he never got over. I just wonder if the Preacher is his Citizen Kane...that he'll never do something even half as great again...
That said, I don't know how I like Crossed. I am all for shaking up the status quo of zombies in Crossed. I'm giving it a chance but since it's bi-monthly it's hard to maintain interest.
The Boys is fun "I hate Superheroes" dick jokes. It can be overbearing at times but it's a good laugh even, though I think it needs to go somewhere soon.
I like Garth Ennis but I always saw his whole "women being raped, people being raped and then killed in the most horrible way possible" as something to drive story of how wrong and evil it makes certain stories and espeacially characters appear to be. I think and all worked for his Punisher MAX work, the first of Garth Ennis' work a have read. Other than that, Garth Ennis must have some serious issues and fantasies or desires about those things.
I met Garth Ennis. I just asked him what beer he likes. He actually seemed a little taken aback, which is strange since I heard he was a big drinker. He said Guiness, of course, and then one other which... fuck, I cant remember right now.
I picked up a few issues of Crossed at comic-con but havent read them yet. Is it any good, aside from the rape I mean?
PS: Worst rape of all though: the chicken-fucker on the inbred farm in Preacher. Yikes!
I've read Crossed. I like the idea of zombies not being so stupid. I just don't get how you can still be conscious and raped as people tear out your guts, while still talking.

After over a decade since the film 'Titanic' became the highest grossing film of all time and placed itself in-between Ben-Hur & Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King for the most academy awards…
Matt, Jack & Jon are three eloquent young gents. They philosophize, externalize, and harmonize on the most pressing subjects of the modern age. Actually, they mostly just talk about movies and current events, but the presentation is what counts.
