I was somewhat curious to see more of the new KotOR MMO, but after seeing the new trailer shown at E3...Not so much anymore. Now, I just feel indifferent to it. However, the best thing I found about the trailer was the music...
[Excluding that it's EU bullshit] It wasn't what I was looking for. It presented little story-wise other than what is already known, lacked actual gameplay, and was nothing more than a presentation of an epic fight that you can never have in the game. If you look at the actual gameplay footage before this trailer, this represented nothing you could do in the game! I know that it's used to get people psyched but it felt like it was lying to me! Like it was insulting my intelligence some how...
Now, veering off the gaming aspect into the cinematic aspect of the trailer, one gimmick I hate of films now is the slowing down and quickly speeding up of shots and sequences and the trailer almost had me when the first speed-up/slow-down shot reared it's ugly head. At that point, I just said, "fuck it." Again, the only thing that wowed me in the trailer was the music. That John Williams...Damn him for being so awesome.
I have to say, although I nerdgasm-ed a few times during the trailer, I didn't like the slow-down-speed-up shit they kept doing. The last thing I need is Zach Snyder fucking with Star Wars.
I hope they get a good gameplay trailer out soon. I'm curious to see if Bioware, who did so well making Mass Effect and KOTOR, can make a decent MMO, let alone Star Wars MMO.
Anyway, Mass Effect 2 is pretty much the only thing I'm really excited about right now.
Well I don't know how many of you saw this but it is a movie that many people didn't like. Many people said that the plot was bleak. Now I think many people didn't like the movie because it dealt with an issue that many people don't want to talk a…
