I kinda wanted to see this movie, but now ? Fuck G.I Joe 2 and (as always) FUCK 3D.

Permalink Reply by VideaVice on May 23, 2012 at 8:16pm It's sad coz I was looking forward to G.I Joe 2. The movie's certainly not great or groundbreaking but it's the kind of dumb blockbuster I could enjoy. I don't think the 3D will be useful, and actually they don't need it. They already have everything to bring back the public in theathers with the Rock and Bruce Willis attached. We will see how it ends.
Permalink Reply by Lab Rat on May 23, 2012 at 8:23pm I didn't bother with the first two and I don't care about this one either. I just wanted to say that the pic of Dwayne Johnson from that article almost makes me want to hit the gym.

Paramount: "0_0 SSSSSSSHEEIIIIIIIIT we're not even gonna risk it, so let's get our asses outta here while we still can! We'll use 3D as our cop-out excuse! MOVE IT MOVE IT MOVE IT!"
The beautiful irony is that it's probably going to hurt them MORE by doing something like this, rather than just staying put at June 29. Now the folks that WERE looking forward to the movie are gonna be quite upset and looking at this move like Paramount's just trying to cash grab at the last second by slapping on unnecessary 3D and trying to "emulate the success of The Hunger Games", since that was a 3D March release too. This is just my prediction, butttt I dunno, its box office outlooks seems to be heading toward that OTHER 3D March release...
At least this time it'll happen to a movie that'll deserves it.
Permalink Reply by NeonKazma on May 23, 2012 at 9:33pm I agree. Also, why the hell push the movie to March 2013?!?! Can't they push it to a date in August rather than wait a whole year for the movie?
Permalink Reply by The Dubya on May 24, 2012 at 12:13am That actually probably would have been better. After the gang-busters in The Avengers, Promethus, The Dark Knight Returns, and maybe a darkhorse hit (Spiderman perhaps?), rounding out August with one last action flick as the summer closes out would've done them alright. But moving it allllll the way to March is just going to give time for the resentment from to build like I was talking about.
