Every time I hear about a remake of a movie I have seen and loved being made....

This sums up my reaction.

The remake has to be really good in order for me to approve of it...I hope they are not just lazy attempts at cash-ins.

Remakes are done, because Hollywood does not like to 'waste' money on a potential bomb. It's easier to redo something that has already been written, a bit cheaper too, and rake in the fanboy/girl money.

It sucks, a lot, but Hollywood has never really cared about you the fan. Ever. Except for your money.

Instead they prefer to make an almost certainly terrible movies. I'm amazed that audiences haven't caught on yet and still go out to watch things like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "War of the Worlds."

have you noticed those are old. the only decent remakes we had this decade were King Kong and Oceans 11

Remakes don't really bother me, I think they shouldn't remake something unless it's got a good 25 to 30 years on it but hey people want it now not tomorrow I guess. The only thing that gets me is that when something is remade the actor in the remake doesn't try to act like the character. Instead they always seem to act like the actor in the original, which really ruins the thing most of the time.

It's not pretty

over 85 remakes in the next 5 years.

And yes, that includes Highlander and the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I've seen some info about Rocky Horror.

Wow...takes a lot of balls to touch that title and not involve O'Brien.

I also see that MTV Films has something to do with the remake, and so I have to make the obvious joke.

So this means that it won't have any musical numbers?
