I don't even understand why they did it. My friends tell me its because they don't want to be associated with nerds or something like that. It pissess me off because its like slapping the people who watched all along. "We don't want to be linked to you so we're changing our name and going for a new crowd." Bullshit!

After almost a month of "Syfy" I totally welcome the change. This channel has improved in leaps and bounds that it is now more watchable than it's ever been. They were giving Mutant Chronicles the other night. For crying out loud, that was before it even came out on DVD!

Well the new name would be easier to market. Sci-Fi is a whole genre so to have a channel called that would be harder to market as individual somewhat. As long as they have good content I dont care what the channel is called.
