They are trying to appeal to the texting crowd. You know, the ones who think cheesy sci-fi is dumb. So they will appease the people who actually watch that network. You know, the ones who get angry at the people who are poor spellers.

I was watching TV today.....and I turned to Sci Fi, only to see the new logo "SyFy"

I thought to myself "What the fuck is this crap?"

The change is stupid, unnecessary, and completely gay.

They changed it because they wanted to attract a new audience that might be turned off by Science Fiction.
Execpt If you say SyFy out loud.........
It's the same pronunciation as Sci Fi. Any viewer watching with half a brain knows it still means science fiction.

So basically, The people in charge wanted to change, but didn't have the balls to go all the way.
