Duke Nukem Forever has become the target of a negative Fox News article calling it "sexist" and "over the line." The game was bound to come under fire someday, but perhaps Fox News should have waited to actually play the game first.

The article uses Duke Nukem Forever's ESRB Rating and news on its multiplayer modes to inform readers about the game's "awfully sexist world." The authors write that it "takes sexism to a new level," they pepper in a quote from a videogame writer that Forever is "meant to objectify women" without any context, and they say that developer Gearbox "may have crossed the line this time." The article also brings in an expert from the Women's Media Center that says Duke Nukem Forever "is even more offensive" than 1996's Duke Nukem 3D (has she actually played Duke Nukem's shooter debut?), and that the game's "depictions of women are extremely harmful, especially to young women."

By a raise of hands, how many people still buy that Fox News is fair and balanced? Any takers?
Heh. Fox has amused me yet again. I can't wait to spend the next hour nitpicking their stupidity.
I hope they release a Doom 4 sometime soon, maybe Fox will find a way to twist words enough to say it promotes Satanism.

Well, this is from the same news station that has brought us such hard-hitting journalism such as...

... I refuse to believe that is real. I REFUSE. That has to be out of context. There is no way that anyone actually thought for a second that Chuck Norris has a 3rd first behind his beard.
Oh boy here we go. This is a good thing though, because this is exactly the kind of controversy that the developer wants (like the most recent delay) and will probably boost sales in the long run. Video related.

Wait fox has news....... I thought I just played the simpsons.....

Even better is that anyone who's played about 15 minutes worth of Duke knows that all of the humor is tongue-in-cheek. He loves Oprah, sings song lyrics while slaughtering aliens, and poops in a monster's decapitated neck. No one except manchildren actually try to emulate DN's hyper-masculinity. Whatever, Fox viewers are not likely to be gamers so anything they say on the matter will go unchallenged.
Clearly Fox News has never heard of The ESRB Rating system.

Beautiful.....

I did not expect the last pic.
