If it's crap... We'll tell you

This's according to the source which brought us news of the Predator reboot over on Bloody Disgusting.

However, unlike every other remake/reboot/re-imagining you've ever seen, Ridley Scott, and his brother Tony, are apparently on to produce the film and have picked a man named Carl Rinsch to direct.

From what Bloody Disgusting a reporting the new film is going to stay pretty close to the original concept of one alien, one ship. This isn't the first time there's been talk of taking up the Alien franchise again, numerous sequels have been rumoured and were only proved false with the release of AVP 1 and 2.

Either way, if you cried while reading this, I really don't think you're alone.

Would much rather get another sequel with them on earth in the future.

Exactly! thats what every alien fan has been wanting to see since 1986! The only things is, I don't see how they'd do it without making it too similar to AVP2 or too similar to Terminator: Salvation, with Aliens having completely over run Earth and a human "resistance" that fight back against them. But still, there are tons of cool completed scripts by William Gibson, Eric Red and Vincent Ward that were rejected for the 3rd Alien film, why don't FOX use those as drafts and make something that actually adds to the series? I mean, for this one it just sounds like Fox had a big meeting, sat down and said "hmmn, well AVP wasn't a sucess, AVP2 wasn't a sucess, Alien 3 and Alien: Ressurection weren't hugely sucessful either....Well, ALL Alien fans like the first movie, lets just make that one, AGAIN".

Next up Casablanca in colour and with a happy ending

You know, they tried to pass the original Casablanca in color and nobody would see that and there is actually a cut of the movie for the Rio Film Festival 84 where Ingrid Bergman does not take the plane and goes back in Bogey's arms.

Well, it's not like it's a sacred property anymore,
AVP has seen to that.

More Fox shenanigans.

Well, I guess nothing's sacred. Lindsey Lohan as Ripley, anyone? Daniel Radcliffe as Kane. FUCK ME DEAD!!!

After I read your post I noticed the ad to the right of my screen. Dark horse celebrating the 30th anniversary of Alien.

How Ironical.

will it detract from the original, no, nothing to worry about then....

A sequel sounds more in order.

Why can't they just adapt the original Aliens comic book run? I've found that Aliens: Outbreak, was better than most the movies in the trilogy and would like to see more of the cyberpunk corporate garbage culture that is only in the backgrounds of previous movies.
