First official trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
hello everyone; i am sure you all went and saw the first trailer for Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 2 yesterday on ABC. Well, the trailer is online now and just let me know your thoughts on whether you think this trailer promises a satisfying ending to the harry Potter film series, or whether you fear it might be disappointing. i am rather hopeful for this one, and I really enjoyed the first part, even though Co-Host 3000 didn't but hey everyone has the right to a different opinion and taste, right? What are your thoughts on this trailer? What scene from the book would you like to see in the film? Mine would be a long scene of dialogue with Aberforth. there never was any serious competition from Twilight as far as i am concerned. Too bad Richard Harris could not witness this.

It looks awesome. David Yates has done wonders for this series. There were so many beautiful shots in the last one. One of my faves is when Nagini attacks Harry in Godrics Hollow. At first they are fighting in this dark room, when all of a sudden Nagini destroys a wall and a brightly lit white room appears.
David Yates gets too much unnecessary hate IMO.

I think so too but i can understand how people can say that at least in the 6th film he should have focused more on voldemort's past instead of going off on the romance but as a whole all important elements were touched upon in his films, considering he had the most difficult job of all directors up to now: he had to make 600-page books into films of 2hours or 2 hours 1/2. That requires skill. The only one of his films i did not enjoy so much was the 5th film but I enjoyed all harry Potter films. If i had to choose a favourite movie it would be the 4th one (but I know Carlyle does not like it) because for once we have the dark stuff kicking in and ralph Fiennes as Voldemort was really classy. Now I hope we'll finally see him more often than in previous films because he has been kinda underused so far. the scene you talked about ended with Voldemort appearing in the book and a flashback. I really would've liked to see that but whenever they cut stuff out I understand their decision because of time constraints. Any scene out of the book you absolutely wanna see in the film?

I really dont remember. It has been quite some time since I read the last one.
As far as the movies go, I think the Cuaron and Yates films are the best (6 being the weakest of those, but still good IMO).
