I really think M Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable was released at the wrong time. Even though X-Men had just come out recently and was a huge box office attraction, superhero movies still had a lot to prove, and people especially weren’t ready to accept or even understand why a superhero film was so slow paced and devoid of action scenes. I think movie-goers of today could much better appreciate how unbelievably unique and original it is.

I prefer to watch movies that defy some point in time, let's say for example
and
The messages these films have are still as relevent now if not more so, than they were when they were made.

Is just proof that even with such a stellar cast it's a pile of dogshit from such a worthless cunt.
Permalink Reply by The Gaming King on December 17, 2012 at 9:53am I think Scott Pilgrim wouldve done at least a little better if it wasn't released at a time where people getting sick of Michael Cera.
Permalink Reply by Woosp Vision on January 3, 2013 at 2:30am I think a large part of the Pilgrim problem is the fact that the kind of folks that would really get off on the geekness and references would largely be the kind of folks who would have downloaded it rather than wait for a general release and deal with shitty distribution... or maybe not...

Permalink Reply by Hector Fernando Andrade JR. II on January 3, 2013 at 7:01am Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days would have made more than $14,623,599 if the movie came out on June 18, 2012 because in that movie the characters got out of school for summer vacation.

It's only hope is that the stoners will like it enough for it to become a midnight movie cult classic.

Permalink Reply by Dialtribe on January 18, 2013 at 10:53pm Dredd (2012) could have done well if it replaced the original Stallone one (1995), or maybe even if the Stallone one didn't exist. Maybe then it could have been a successful franchise.
