If it's crap... We'll tell you

Am I the only person on this earth that is sick to death of this game or has no interest in the game whatsoever??

3 things put me off this game . .
1) its too damn expensive.
2) the idiots that will go online with it and give you abuse if you are not up to their level..
3) the single player is very short Ive been told, Im not gonna fork out £50 for a game and complete the game in one afternoon.

who else agrees with me???

Well,

the big draw to this game is the Multiplayer. It's excellent. If the story isn't as good as the first games, it will not hinder the sales much, if any at all.

Too expensive? 60 dollars(65 with tax) is the basic price for games now. It's been this way for a few years now. The people who pay 80 or 160 for the Collectors and Prestige Editions are collectors and know what they're doing and or are huge fans of the franchise.

"Idiots" online? The abuse you speak of is with EVERY single online game out there. Everyone, including you, talk trash at some point.

yeah you have a point but I still think its a bitty too expensive, over here in britain the usual price of a new release game is £39.99, Modern Warfare is the ONLY game Ive ever seen priced at £50+, it just seems to me that because the game is wanted by so many people then the shops are fucking over the customer, meh thats my view anyhoo.

How much is 39 Euros? Is that the equivalent to 39 dollars in America?

Just looked it up, it's close to $59, looks us gamers in the uk are gettin ripped of again.

I wouldn't say ripped off. That's what we're paying over here my friend! You just want the same level of polish as the first game. And if it's not up to those standards, then you feel it should be cheaper.

Not exactly a bad idea. But it's unrealistic.

But I've never owned any of the Call of Dutie games, I've played them sure. the point I'm trying to get accross is that if I spend that sort of money on a game then I want to be still playing the single player a week after I bought the damn thing, GTA IV is a perfect example, I'm still playing the single player a year and a half after the game has been released.

I still break out COD 4 MW1 from time to time with the singleplayer. Especially the "Death From Above" mission where you operate the C-130 gunship. It's still a fun game. Hell, just got finished with COD1 about 2 months ago.

One thing that I'll give the COD games, is that they have generally been highly re-playable. MW2? Well, not sure yet how much "replay value" it will have in about 2-3 months from now when it's no longer "new".

I replayed World at War to death, but I doubt I will replay MW2 once, since the campaign is too scripted, even for a COD game.

Yeah, 60-70 US Dollars sounds right. Depending on the version you get. For some reason the PC version is 10 bucks more, but less likely to be worth it due to the multiplayer aspects mentioned below.

Not quite. The PC-version users are screwed because we can't have dedicated servers. Which means those idiots that are using hacks, breaking server rules, or just being complete ass-hats with their "Trash Talk" don't get banned anymore. Plus, it's also breaking up several "Clans" (Group of players) that can no longer be assured to be able to play together at the same time on the same server anymore.

What's worse for the PC-version, is that the "Bonuses" of the new Multiplayer system also prevent them from being able to CONTROL the multiplayer system. There are no new "servers" designed for the PLAYERS having control over who gets kicked out of a game for being AFK, Hacking, Disrespectful, Cheating (Ledging), holding tournaments, being able to "practice" with their clans, in-game chat (always shaky to begin with) has devolved to Teamspeak or Ventrillo only because they aren't even on the same SERVERS anymore. Plus, unlike the MW1 version, weapons are totally out of whack. I just heard last night that in order to obtain the AK-47 you have to be higher leveled player in MW2. So, the most WIDELY used weapon in the world (The Ak-47), is now only reserved for the more "advanced players" in MW2. Yet, you can go from rank 1 to 55 (Max) on MW1 with an Ak-47 from the start?

Infinity Ward just pushed this Console game out there without really trying to get the kinks worked out to make it a BETTER game over all. Then of course, there's already been 1 patch for the PS3 to unlock the trophies that weren't opening up... So, if you completed the game BEFORE the patch you have to play it all over again to GET the trophies of completing the game. The Mac community might be screwed out of the game all together, because rumor has it that there will NOT be a Mac-Version.

MW2... might be fun for singleplayer for several reasons. But on the Multiplayer side, it fails MISERABLY. Not to mention Shields/Duel-Wield/Sticky-nades/ Vehicles... it's fucking HALO, not COD.

I said earlier that I was starting to enjoy the game. Fuck was I wrong.
The single player is stunningly bad. I mean, it's incredible how bad it is. The story, something I really liked in the first MW, is a fucking joke. Shit happens for no reason, other than to look cool. Are you telling me that just because there seem to be American implications in a terrorist attack, that Russia will launch a full scale invasion upon the US? That's fucking stupid.
You have to spend, two, fucking TWO missions in Brazil, and both of these are the most poorly designed I've seen from Infinity Ward in a while. And I'm back to the multiplayer problems I had in the first Modern Warfare, where I'm stuck in the 20-30s, and I'm getting nothing that could even be conceived as cool. I don't even care anymore.

Fuck it. Left 4 Dead 2 is coming soon.

As Yahtzee would say, that was Pants-on-head retarted storytelling. It went for cool moments, instead of going for the more realistic tone that made CoD 4 story good and involving, hell, I didn't even care when they killed half of the characters you play as in this game...

Am I the only one that liked the World at War campaign better?
