Permalink Reply by The Frizz on December 17, 2011 at 11:27pm Wow, that's tough. Many of my favorite films are biographical. Let me think... Well, Ditto for PG Cooper on The Aviator (what a freakin' film!), and on Lawrence of Arabia, which are both, indeed, among my all-time favorite films. So is Persepolis and Almost Famous. I also very much like
Amadeus, Charlie Wilson's War, Milk, A Beautiful Mind, Ray, Walk the Line, The Enigma of Kaspar Hausar, The Prince of Egypt (the Dreamworks version), Amadeus, Jesus Christ Superstar (the 2000 remake more than the original- although overall I prefer the original sound recording to either film), Aimee and Jaguar, Anne Frank- The Whole Story (the 2001 edition with Ben Kingsley- which I highly recommend), Finding Neverland, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Sea Inside, and Capote. What a great thread topic, this!

Permalink Reply by Choker on December 19, 2011 at 9:28am Recently I saw Nowhere Boy, A story about the teen years of John Lennon and I have to say I was surprised at how good it was, there were no mentions of the Beatles what so ever, and while he did meet Paul and Ringo they didn't slip in any references to their later music, they just kept the film in that one moment in Johns life and nothing else.
