The biggest news about this is that for a complete series by A&E, it's pretty cheap at only $150 for 4 seasons with about 20 hour-long episodes per season. Usually, with foreign TV series, companies like Warner Bros and Acorn Media charge an arm and leg for just volumes. A complete season of Farscape, back when it was released by ADV Films, cost over $100. I was happy with the extras ADV Film included on each DVD, but they started out releasing this series at TWO episodes a DVD. Maybe that kind of marketing works for anime, but come on!

One note for the complete collector, the complete set does NOT include The Peacekeeper Wars mini-series, BUT Best Buy has a special deal going on that will include it.

worth the wait...an underrated gem..people witter on about BG, firefly and that, but this has more ideas in it than either of those two...'scapers unite!!!

Thank Christ. ADV handled American distribution so poorly, I didn't even bother buying them.

Farscape was and is easily the best science fiction television show in the history of the medium.

John Crichton, an astronaut, gets sucked through a wormhole and ends up in an alien galaxy aboard a prison ship taken over by the alien prisoners. They allude being captured by the militaristic Peacekeepers while trying to find their way back to their home worlds.

Each episode is filled with violence, sex, and awesome practical and CG effects by Jim Henson Studios. What I love so much about this show is that now only do they have animatronic puppets as main characters, they aren't off-the-wall and goofy like Muppets.
