I really enjoyed the game but didnt complete it due to my pc getting a virus. I could go on and on about this game but ill try and keep it short.

I thought the AI was good, they flanked and rarely just stood still waiting to get shot,one example : I drove a brand new jeep (which was given to me for completing a mission) to an area whare I had to kill some mercs, got out of the car, shot a few mercs, my buddy was shot in the head and that was the end of him, got in a merc jeep and drove of, after about 20 secs of driving I got out and I saw mercs driving at me in my brand new jeep, thats hardly retarded (maybe not ground breaking but not retarded)

I was on PC so had no controll problems.

Multiplayer isnt great but the map maker is brilliant.

I will say however that being shot at constantly at checkpoints became a little annoying and only being able to transport from place to place at bus stops wasnt a great design decision, Red Faction Guerilla is a way better open world game. Im going to restart the game and try and finish it, mainly to unlock all the weapons but I do agree with you in that it may become borring doing all the meanial point to point drives but sitting on a hill, planning my attack and executing it is something Far Cry 2 does better than most games.

The only reason they left it so you got shot at every twenty yards was because they couldn't be bothered to design smarter AI and flanking doesn't make smart AI, if thats isn't a FPS today the Ai is bad.

Im not saying it was a complete waste of time, the damn second half pissed me off sso much and the planning out your roots and methods of attack was quite fun.
