My opinion?
It's a remake that's supposed to be a sequel.
I mean, after his experience in the first movie, why would he go back to a cabin, go near anything that closely resembles the words Necronomicon, and why doesn't Ash have any recollection with his previous encounters with the Deadites?
If anything is a true sequel in this series, it's Army of Darkness.
It's a sequel. The first thirty minutes is the remake. Due to some copyright issues from switching studios, they had to do a quick remake to recap the first movie to avoid copyright issues. They omitted all the characters from the first movie except the girlfriend to make it go faster. You'll notice that the ending frame of the first movie is in the second movie where Ash gets attacked by the demon and is launched through the forest. He then briefly turns into dark Ash. and that's when we get to the sequel part of the movie.
I was just wondering if any of you have some good Asian film recommendations?. Anything goes, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, animated, live action, any genre. Preferably obsurities.
