Permalink Reply by Angel aka Surga on March 8, 2012 at 7:28am My my how spillo's have changed since i first started coming here. Well i didnt always care about these kids or even know who this guy was (which is the point of the video) but honestly what makes me care and actual go out and make posters and donate money is the passion this guy had to change the world because of his child. I as a new parent want to do all i can to make my daughters life better than mine and seeing this made me think wtf have a i really done to make her life and world better? And if we all did come together millions of people from all over the world to tackle this one guy and these issues imagine how we could all come together and tackle the biggest issues of this world. I wasnt posting with the intent to spam up spill.
Think what you want but for it or against if your posting about it your still spreading the word in some way.... :P

Permalink Reply by Angel_A on March 8, 2012 at 11:16am Imho you all should do a little bit of research on your own before deciding that these guys are some kind of saviors. I watched the video yesterday and I was really moved. Then I joined discussions and did some research and I'm not convinced this charity has the solution. They literally want to fund the Ugandan army which itself is guilty of atrocities and corruption. Koney is one warlord among hundreds in Africa. I'm not even sure he even operates out of Uganda anymore.
I still do appreciate them bringing light to the situation as no child should be forced into these situations, but I will not give my money to the Ugandan army, nor pretend I am going to change the world just because I watched a 30 minute video.
Permalink Reply by Angel aka Surga on March 8, 2012 at 11:22am I didnt say they were saviors. I just saw it as a good way for people all over to put aside differences and start with one of the many problems in our world. Not saying they are the answer but I see it as a great stepping stone to start..
My solution would be a few hallow points to his head but clearly we've seen what happens when you strike one guy down there is always some one to take his place...
Permalink Reply by Angel_A on March 8, 2012 at 11:35am I agree and maybe people can start thinking differently, putting aside differences and working together with a little of awareness. My ultimate dream is a world that is kind and free of pain and suffering.
It's just very interesting to me that they're literally asking for money to give to the army of Uganda. Doesn't sit right with me.
Permalink Reply by Chig Champa on March 8, 2012 at 11:45am Your dream of a world that is kind and free of pain and suffering is rather naive, and utterly impossible.
It's a nice sentiment though...
Permalink Reply by Chig Champa on March 8, 2012 at 11:43am What's a hallow point?
And if every person matters why are you advocating the murder of one?
