Back in the day one of the main reasons to get the new EA Sports game every year (NHL 99, NBA 99, etc) was to get the updated roster with the new players. Now that downloadable content in so readily used do you think that EA Sports should hold off of making a new game every year and only release new ones when there is a major change.
Right now it's hard to justify buying an entirely new game just for a few small improvements that don't change much of the actual Game Play
madden gameplay has changed completely, and for the better.
so has the nba live franchise.
I've been a EA sports fan since 97 so I've been going thru the peaks and valleys of repeating games that recycle each game only to pump out a new one with one or two new features.
I don't think they'll ever resort to downloadable content as a new features to the game unless a new type of system comes out. But for the next couple years I think they're gonna keep milking the cash cow.
I think that's that nature of sport gamming really, you have to follow the rules and once you get to the current Gen there is very little to Improve upon. Fightnight changed it up a bit.
Lot of money in it so what ever gets them the most.
