Permalink Reply by The Halfrican on June 4, 2012 at 10:46pm It pisses me the fuck off them replacing Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher ESPECIALLY THE REASON FOR IT (click the link to see the reason) http://popwatch.ew.com/2012/06/04/splinter-cell-blacklist-video-mic...
THEY COULD HAVE EASILY DUBBED HIS VOICE IN FUCK SPLINTER CELL BLACKLIST i dont care if its the best Splinter Cell Game ever, but if its not Michael Ironside, Its NOT SAM FISHER, they could have easily rebooted the series with a new character and i would have been fine with that but just fuck this game
I loved Assassin's Creed 3 it was an Excellent E3 Trailer and the Gameplay footage was very impressive and im very much looking forward to that.
Permalink Reply by Josteo on June 4, 2012 at 11:01pm I could tell it was someone trying to do a Michael Ironside impression in the E3 video. It's a very odd way of replacing someone who is the voice of the a major character. It would be like if they paid someone else to do the voice of Solid Snake and all their really doing is an impression of David Hayter's voice.
I need to know more about why Ubisoft deiced to go with a new voice. It's doesn't make any sense. The overall choice is awful but it will not stop people from buying the game. It will make some people angry but most won't care. The gameplay looks great and it will sale well.
I agree Assassin's Creed 3 looks great and it will be a hit once released.
Thanks The Halfrican

You have to remember that Star Wars 1313 was being played on a high-end PC not a console. I do agree it looks amazing. Still waiting to see what it looks like on a console.
Permalink Reply by LunaticLMD on June 4, 2012 at 11:43pm What do I think so far?
I'm indifferent. I don't know what people were expecting from Microsoft and Sony. The generation is nearing the end so don't expect anything major on that end (update wise). Microsoft especially, they only have four franchises and they showed those games. Sony I thought was fine, what really hurt them was all that time on Wonderbook. It looks cool for kids, but they're not the ones watching E3. I got a decent amount of games so I'm happy.
What did i like?
Hmm... Watch Dogs really caught me by surprise. The Last of Us looks great, and I"m really interested in Beyond. I liked Heavy Rain. Games like that have a lot of potential and Heavy Rain didn't reach that, so here's hoping they do better with Beyond. RE6, Tomb Raider, and AC3 looked like winners too although I'm still unsure on how I feel about DS3 co-op and cover. Splinter Cell looked good too. I only played Conviction so I'm not as upset as other people about the new VA, sorry. Rayman and South Park too! Those games look like fun. Halo is Halo and God of War is God of War so nothing of note there. I'll play those too.
Disliked the fact there was no Overstrike lol, it's a Insomniac game being published by EA and has been MIA since E3 2011. Would have liked them to show a little something of Ratchet & Clank: FFA since they announced it for later this year and maybe more character reveals for Battle Royale (At least show a gameplay trailer for Big Daddy and Drake). Also, EA's press conference. Medal of Honor looked a lot better, but... you see one modern military shooter you've seen them all (Unless it's Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six). After DS3, I zoned out. I don't care for sports games and I thought Crysis 2 was so boring, so I didn't give a damn about Crysis 3. No South Park gameplay also, wtf? I think the creators were too busy laughing at Microsoft.
Who was better?
Can I say Ubisoft? But if not then Sony. The Last of Us looked AMAZING, God of War is God of War, and I get Infamous 2 and more games for free from PS+!
Rant...
That kid they had with Lana (Archer). Tobanqus? Whatever his name was, he wasn't Mr. Caffeine terrible, but he was still pretty awful.
Edit: Oh my! I typed a lot.
Permalink Reply by Josteo on June 5, 2012 at 12:22am I agree with you on everything. All I saw was Aisha Tyler and Ignored the other guy. God of War, Halo and Gears of War are the all the same gameplay nothing new so far. They can add a few things here and there to mix things up.
But your right when you say they are waiting to make major changes when they plan on release their new consoles. I had a feeling they weren't going to show them this year. People just don't have the money to buy a very expensive console right now. I think they will be out some time in 2014. Yes, I said 2014!!!
Thanks for responding to my questions.
Permalink Reply by LunaticLMD on June 5, 2012 at 12:26am Nah I agree, with so many games coming out in 2013 now if they do show off the consoles at E3 next year I think the xbox720 and PS4 will come out Holiday 2014.
Permalink Reply by Josteo on June 5, 2012 at 12:31am Do you have any free time to be a host on my podcast?

I'm free tomorrow night.
Permalink Reply by Josteo on June 5, 2012 at 12:35am People are hating on DS3 for abandoning their slow building horror story lines that their franchise was known for. Well, to me it looks like a lot of fun.
Permalink Reply by Josteo on June 5, 2012 at 1:13am I think the studio wants to make as much money as they can and I'm sure when they thought of adding co-op to the game. They would get more people to play it. And the story may have been the last thing they thought about. Still willing to play it to see how it goes.
Permalink Reply by Josteo on June 5, 2012 at 1:22am I wonder if the single player version of the game well play any different from the co-op version. I doubt it.
Permalink Reply by Guy LaDouche's Intern on June 6, 2012 at 1:00pm I agree with Artic. I rather go thru the game on my own terms and strategy by myself rather than having to rely on a gungho idiot who ends up shooting me in the back(Shiva, I'm looking at you) then end up getting both of us killed by a gang of bow-legged necromorphs.
Plus its takes away the scare factor when you walk in a room and computer is screaming "Contamination Detected" then the emergency lights starts flashing while locking down the room then your trigger happy idiot co-op partner starts screaming orders in your ear or making jokes.
I think I will still get the game since I came this far and I want to see what happens to Elle. I thought she would be the partner in DE3 instead of the dude so I want to hear John's Story and how he knows about the markers. Plus not to mention the animated movie that will tie in the games. Like Downfall and aftermath.
