I thought the movie was a lot of fun, and pretty damn good. A far better improvement then the Stallone film! Give it a chance. But no sadly, this film was not a hit in the theater, but I'm sure it will be a great dvd, or Blu-ray sale.
This was a really good movie.

I just watched it and overall the story of a bunch of quasi commandos attacking an impoverished housing development and then killing a child rape victim forced to live among insane people who eventually becomes a criminal to survive ,
Didn't really strike a cord as a person I want to see a continuing story of.
Mad Max was cool ,

I always thought that was sorta the point. The story's always been about the black and white of that world's law enforcement. Cold, oppressive, fascist, but the law. Nobody really likes Dredd.

Yes which is why he's a poor movie lead.
He's great for a video game as an alt-character .
If he was a choice in Fallout 3 lets say you decided you wanted to be a Dredd type archetype I could see that as being interesting because you can experience a different game play story arch
But in a movie his shortcomings make him so unlikable by the end of the movie you kind of feel like you just watch a Rodney King style beat down.
Anyway for some reason it's more tolerable and fun when it's a choice in a video game then when I'm watching it in a movie
