Do you feel Dragon Ball Evolution will make enough money for a second part to the new story? A third?

I highly doubt it, and can only hope for a remake to be in the works sometime within the five years, ill admit i was a big fan, and part of my childhood was watching dragonball z with friends and. but I knew as soon as this film was announced itd be like staring down a buffalo's asshole, why? because it was so close to the release of speed racer they had to have exchanged some notes, now the nail in the coffin for me was when I saw who was cast as Goku

Well They made around 27million over seas, so that may get a DVD release or maybe a movie release if nothing else. Why? If your movie fails.....ACTION FIGURES!!! Kids are the money. Now I watched several shows from all three sagas, and I won't say it's bad, but of all the "anime" cartoons out there to gain such a following over here in the states, we kind of wasted our pick. Imagine if Blue Gender had been cleaned up and brought over here first, or maybe like a Trigun, which is my fav. I am not knocking your show by any means so please don't think that, but I also feel you will never be happy with a live action DB movie because you cannot make a person or shot look as goofey and silly as the show is. Come on, when there isn't any fighting, there are walking pigs, prehistoric animals running around, locations with nothing in them for miles and miles to the point that no such place could be found on Earth. That will never transfer over to the screen well.

I don't see why not it got better reviews than the Resident Evil movies and that had 2 sequals. To be honest DB:E got better reviews than I thaught it would.

I would hope not. Honestly, I never even got into the manga/anime, but I knew enough to tell when an interpretation looks like crap. I just think they shouldn't have wasted their time, but that's just my opinion. Honestly, turning anything animated into live action is a big stretch. Remember the TMNT live action movies, Scooby Doo, or Garfield, not to mention the countless others like Underdog, Fat Albert, and Robin Williams' Popeye? I mean, they all can't turn out like Transformers, so I think they can either try harder to make these movies better or pick a better source material for a movie. And is it just me, or will they make a movie out of ANY source material lately?

Just because you are a fan of the series, does NOT excuse you for supporting crap.

I am a long time D&D player, but I hated the movie.
Same for Transformers.
Same for Eragon.
Same for...while, most conversions like this.

Will there be others? Hell, this is the SECOND Dragonball live action movie made people! Yes, there will be...but likely they will be direct to video, as more reports of theaters not even bothering to show the movie come in.

Probably: It will have at least 2 sequels.
