district 9 sequel?!
if y'all don't know, district 9 director Neill Blomkamp is planing to make a sequel to his hit ingenious film district 9. he hinted to make a sequel 2 weeks before district 9 hit the theaters. he said that its gonna be unrelated to the district 9 universe. i really dont thing that would be a good idea to do the sequel in a whole different direction because we want to see the main protagonist Wikus van de Merwe played by Sharlto Copley in the film. i really dont know how its gonna be but, lets see what happens. what do any of you think about the whole upcoming sequel ?

This is what I read somewhere: Nevertheless, he revealed that his next project is unrelated to the District 9 universe.
That means it isn't a sequel, it means he's doing something completely different. Not District 9, uhhh... Part 2.
And that's good because I thought District 9 was superboring.

But I'm saying it is a seperate project from D9. Maybe he will do the sequel after he finishes this.
I'm all for you getting your sequel, but this ain't it. That's going to be awhile.
If whatever this movie is going to be tanks, maybe the D9 sequel will be straight to dvd. That would be hilarious.

if that would happen, then i'll watch the film when im drunk cause you cant just have a great original film and make a sequel straight to dvd with no effort. thats if you give your girlfriend a very good present and she likes it then you get her a bad present thats shit.

That confused me, too. Sequel, but unrelated to D9?
It shows the difference between human minds and computers. My workstation would through fits if I put something like that in code (actually, it would probably just return a seg fault). Humans can go, "oh, that's weird," and go on.
