Disappointng Weapons in Videogames
I asked this in a couple loading bar shows ago to the crew (although I phrased it odd) and now I want to ask the general Spill people this. What weapon in a shooting game (or any videogame) was very disappointing to you? Was there one you thought would be awesome, but turned out to be a piece of useless shit?
When I brought up the question, I was playing Goldeneye 007 on the N64 and even now, the Klobb still pisses me off on how useless it is. Has a bad sound, wastes so much ammo, and has shitty damage.

I've played and knife run'd almost every Resident Evil game, so no. I don't know.
If you think the knife is bad/useless, you're obviously either a giant casual or really bad at the games. Possibly both. My intuition and the picture you used makes me think you're an RE4 babby, which makes it even funnier as the knife is actually BETTER in those games. You can complete the majority of Resident Evil games without ever firing a shot, and even in the ones you CAN'T doing a "mostly knife run" is still pretty damn easy.

Yeah, I meant to address that. (and did in an edit) There are several bosses where you can't in that game. Chainsaw guys, fat chain gun guys, and even regenerators are simple to knife if you know the patterns though.

RE2 is probably the best game in the main series anyway, bar remake. It's cool though, I get that that OG Resident Evil, and classic survival horror in general, isn't for everyone. It's a shame that type of game has faded into obscurity along with the 3DS platformer and the adventure game.
Button Face is still a giant casual though, especially since he posts about Resident Evil all the time in the side bar.

The Reaper from Perfect Dark was one weapon that really irritated me back when I had a N64, and since all the alien guns in the game was between awesome and Fucking awesome, I expected it to be the same. The gun was essentially if a 8 years old idea of a gun, which is to attach sub machine guns to a lawnmower blade and shoots about as accurately as it sounds. Unless your standing 2 feet from your target, your not going to hit a single target with this thing.
