If some of you haven't seen the brand new two short trailers of the Dark Knight Rises
here they are
My question is do you think they are getting a bit too comcial here!
I mean I know there was a few humour in Batman Begins and the Dark Knight.
But don't you think they are pushing it a bit strong here?
Permalink Reply by Nikhil Sunil on May 24, 2012 at 7:57pm Its just two scenes isn't it?
The "My wife?!" bit and the "Remember where you parked?" bit.
Permalink Reply by Zandy! on May 24, 2012 at 8:46pm Well there is also "Help me get into the game"
and "do you remember where you parked"
I'm just worried. I'm not putting the Dark Knight Rises down. Just concern.
Permalink Reply by We Have To Go Back on May 24, 2012 at 8:40pm I don't see anything wrong with Nolan trying to insert a bit of comedy into his Bat-universe. In fact, looking back at The Dark Knight, there were several humorous moments involving the Joker. Small amonts of levity actually help to create an interesting variety in tone. The "disappearing pencil" scene is one of my personal favorites.
Permalink Reply by Zandy! on May 24, 2012 at 8:47pm I agree with you. But that was black humor which work perfectly.
Permalink Reply by J. Moriarty on May 24, 2012 at 10:24pm I'm not too worried, a lot of the funny moments actually are generally funny and seem organic. Especially the "My wife?" bit. As for the "Get me back into the game", I'd have to see the context behind the scene to really judge it.
Permalink Reply by Lab Rat on May 24, 2012 at 10:32pm A couple of seconds of humour from a couple of minutes of footage from a couple of hours of movie is becoming comical?
Permalink Reply by Einrick Quiznos on May 24, 2012 at 11:35pm Trailers lie. Ad guys have to sell their product to whomever they can, and if they need to focus their attention on folks who enjoy a little light humor with their action in the cinema(what with the recent popularity of the Avengers) to sell a couple more dollars, than expect them to advertise the product in that fashion. Otherwise, it's silly to judge a movie by it's trailer only.
This is no attack on your initial thoughts, mind you. We all like to wonder and express curious opinions about things we haven't come to understand or see yet. However, I'd say it's best to reserve judgement for the film itself after viewing it in it's totality, and then expound your thoughts, if you're serious about it.

Permalink Reply by Zandy! on May 25, 2012 at 4:54am I was just worried >_<
I just thought its strange how they show a comdey one, it felt out of place because its always serious. I don't think they show a comical one for the Dark Knight did they? I understand what you meant. I just got so "ahhh" because I really want to be good.
By the way I love your profile of the dog.
