Creating a comic book hero, i need help!
Ok, im creating a comic book character, and i need some opinions and suggestions.
Name: Adamas (greek word meaning diamond.)
Power: Has the ability to turn any part oh his body to diamond, when in diamond form he can bend light through any part of his body. If he bends light through his,
Feet= Flight
Hands= light rays
Chest= Huge light ray, think of a big magnifying glass burning ants (or in this case, bad guys)
Power Cont.: Durability
Me and my buddies are working on a comic, and we are assigned to come up w/ a character. So just let me know whats good and whats not.

Ok just to update you.....i thought of a good villain for my story. im not going to say to much a/b it but i think it will work perfectly. I also have a good background for the two main characters and am working on the outline for the first comic. Once i get the first one completed i'll post it under a group im a/b to start.....later on

Sometimes all you need is a fully-fleshed character. Work on personality. How does he go about his daily routine? What are his likes and dislikes? Music? Food? Clothes? People? How old is he/she?
Is he a one-shot, or are there other "powers" in his family?
Now while the 'gritty hero' thing is popular, of late that hasbecome a bit of a turn-off in comics. Realism seems to be more in, and likely easier to work with.

About the bending light, does he have his own light source or get it from the environment?
Coz if he uses it to fly and then there's a cloud or summin, he's gonna be falling all the way back down.

Yea, he uses the suns rays, but i figure he is so powerful that it will give me a good way of leveling the playing field when he's facing weaker characters.

well his only real weakness is the lack of sunlight, so i think i would make one of his enemies Hulk like. b/c it would be fun to see a hulk like character throwing around a man who is almost unbreakable.

If he can be invisiple you should consider ability that allows him to make holograms and greate Illusions. Isn't holograms all about bending light. It would make figths more diversity when hero is cleverly using hes hologram skill to bluff the enemy. It is clear that optaining this kind of skill migth take some time and practice so meaby he meets someone that have the nolige to teach him.
