If it's crap... We'll tell you

Stolen from cinematical.com

So here we have it, the summer movie season finally winding down, and maybe it's just us, but a couple of peculiar trends have cropped up since May that we thought were worth bringing to light. For starters, we've only further elaborated on Eric's early indicator that puking was 'in' this year (seriously, it's gotten to be a pretty considerable theme), and as for the rest, you can check them out after the jump. Some spoilers follow. And if there are any corrections or additions to be made, please pipe up in the comments, and do so gently.

Scenes of vomiting or regurgitation: Drag Me to Hell, Up, The Hangover, Year One, My Sister's Keeper, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Funny People, District 9, Halloween II (not entirely sure: Pontypool, Departures) (according to the trailer: Mystery Team) (characters threaten to puke: Star Trek)

Scenes of characters losing teeth: The Hangover, Moon, I Love You, Beth Cooper, District 9

Scenes of characters bleeding from the teeth, which I cannot abide (except when it's hilarious): In the Loop

Scenes involving miscarriages or stillbirths: Up, Orphan, Grace, The Time Traveler's Wife

Scenes in which cats are killed: Drag Me to Hell*, The Collector

Scenes in which dates regret a visit to the art museum: I Hate Valentine's Day, (500) Days of Summer

Scenes in which a remote-controlled Doris Roberts kung-fu fights a Step Up 2 alum: Aliens in the Attic

Scenes in which Rachel Weisz has a thunderstorm-prompted orgasm: The Brothers Bloom

Scenes in which a giant alien robot has wrecking balls for testicles: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Movies that end with the song "Right Round" by Flo Rida: The Hangover, The Ugly Truth

Movies that end with the song "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas: G-Force, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Movies that Craig Robinson steals for roughly one scene a piece: Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Post Grad

Movies that Simon Pegg continues to steal: Star Trek, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Movies that Jane Lynch doesn't steal enough of: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Julie & Julia, Post Grad

Movies that proved that we don't really miss Nia Vardalos: My Life in Ruins, I Hate Valentine's Day

Movies in which full-grown men tend to appear naked: X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Time Traveler's Wife, Taking Woodstock

Movies in which characters tend to meet themselves: Star Trek, Moon

Movies in which Jessica Biel crushes a dog with her butt: Easy Virtue

Climaxes involving an anti-matter bomb going off over the Vatican: Angels & Demons

Climaxes involving a beat-boxing vagina: Dance Flick

Climaxes during which characters die in a movie theater: Inglourious Basterds, The Final Destination

Climaxes during which characters die near a movie theater: Public Enemies

Mr. Summer Bookends: Liev Schreiber in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (May 1) and Taking Woodstock (August 28), with the runner-up being Eric Bana in Star Trek (May 8) and The Time Traveler's Wife (August 14), not to mention Funny People (July 31)

*Better yet, said cat is then regurgitated!

I once had a climax involving a beat-boxing vagina.

Hey, do Scott a solid and post a link for this. Copying and pasting is bad business - and especially disturbing when it's a good friends piece. Give Ol' Scott some love.

I'm confused. How does one example indicate a trend of "Scenes in which a remote-controlled Doris Roberts kung-fu fights a Step Up 2 alum?"

It was just meant as joke. I mean it's so crazy that it deserves it's own category.
