Captain Marvel Now.. Shazam?
Ok did anyone else hear about this, how DC comics are bringing captain marvel into the New 52 but they are changing his name to Shazam because thats what people think his name is, I think that is really stupid. What are we just going to change wonder woman to Amazon and Batman to dark knight. I'm not a fan of Captain Marvel but I thinks its dumb just because people don't know his name or something like that. Anyone elses thoughts.

You see, DC says they changed the name because people thought it was Shazam, but than some time later after they announced that, Marvel announces the return of Captain Marvel to their universe. So, obviously something happened where Marvel got their license back for Captain Marvel, so DC had to change his name to Shazam to avoid any lawsuits or anything. So Marvel got the license for the name Captain Marvel, DC wanted to keep the character, so they changed it to Shazam, and said its because more people would recognize the name, but thats not the main reason. Hope I cleared it up for you.
