Capcom is making Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 instead of releasing more Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 dlc!?THAT BULL S**T!
If u haven't heard by now this november Capcom will be releasing Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3,a new updated version of MvC3.This new version will include 12 new characters,new levels,new modes,and a couple of tweaks to the visuals in the original game.My question for capcom is why couldn't they just release all of this as DLC instead of a new stand alone disc(wich will render the original version useless).It seems thats the new trends capcom is trying to start,first they did it with street fighter 4 and super street fighter 4.In my opinion capcom is just trying to milk the fighting games they make by just delaying the dlc and just re-releasing the same game with all the dlc included.Capcom has always been one of my favorite game creators but seriousely you guys why make me go out and buy a new copy of the same game i have wen you could just as easy release it in dlc form?i cant be the only one who is upset and disappointed by this?

Yes, it is bullshit. They're basically saying "FUCK YOU" to the early adopters of Marvel vs Capcom 3. No matter how they spin it (they've made claims about not having this planned in advance and blamed the earthquake, which is a lie), this is a blatent cash grab. Anyone who has any respect for games as an artform and not just a moneymaking business should not let themselves be assraped by Capcom like this.
Retaliate with your wallets, don't buy the game. If you're like me and you really want it, buy it used so Capcom doesn't recieve any profit. Show them that this shit isn't okay.

The fact that they're charging you for game engine tweaks when games like the new MK are doing it for effin free is rediculous. sucks cuz there are too many capcom fanboys out there who act like they can do no wrong and they'll buy these substandard ass games and continue getting over on people. crapcom been rickrollin gamers for a while now.

Yeah, this whole re-releasing of games is a little questionable. Honestly, I see why Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 & Street Fighter 4 couldn't have DLC. There's way too much there adding on, my suggestion would be for them to take there time. You can't add 12 new players on to DLC without having planned to initiallly. But, Capcom knew what they were doing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 had 56 characters in it, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 original released with 20 less characters. 18 less counting DLC, 6 less with the Ultimate edition.
This really started back with Street Fighter III: New Generation, this game stunk so bad Capcom had to re-release it. Ultimately, Capcom just got greedy. The Alpha series of Street Fighter was dominant, the EX series of Street Fighter was also fairing well at the same time. So then Street Fighter III: Double Impact was released the same year as the original and the same thing happened, no one paid it any attention. Two years later, the more focused on 3rd installment Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike was release to a more successful reception the both previous versions combined.
Now, it sucks that Street Fighter IV was re-released as SUPER Street Fighter IV but, it worked so well with Street Fighter II and the demand for more fighters was there. The success level was the same, remember the original Street Fighter II only had 8 fighters plus the 4 bosses, before the expansion of Championship Edition. As for SUPER Street Fighter IV: The Arcade Edition, that's just blatant robbery and lazy.
Nintendo, Sony, and Xbox have also been having success doing this as well, Nintendo in particular re-releasing Zelda: Ocarina in Time. PS3 updating PS2 and PSP games with HD resolution and Xbox following suit .As long as they charge you less than full price ($40) people generally seem to smile and take it... up the ass!

It's not the fact that they're releasing it that bugs me. It's the fact that they announced the new version less than 6 months later and now it's releasing in less than a year. That's fucking bullshit.

Some people say that past behavior can help predict future events. Even though I was not sure about it, but I also had a feeling that Capcom would release an updated version of Marvel vs Capcom 3 after Super Street Fighter 4.

Whats really stupid about that, is that unlike when they made, "Street fighter 4:Arcade edition," you could still download it as a DLC for SSF4.
Unlike UMVC3 which will be its own game. That is series bullshit. Thank god I never bought MVC3, I was pretty disappointed by that game. I still kinda liked it, but I wasn't going to buy it at full price.
