Bruno: Sasha Baron Cohnen's new movie
So everyone and their mother has at least heard of Borat, the offensive yet loveable foreign character played by the comedian, but he was sooo 2006. Now in 2009 we get another horribly offensive dude by the name of Bruno, an Austrian fashion designer that's blatantly gay and wonderfully clueless. He does what every normal celebrity does, make videos, shop, adopt an African child, but you get to see it on film!
In my opinion, Borat was better than I expected it to be and Bruno will probably be good too. Half the point of these characters is to offend people and get a reaction so I'll set the un-PC-ness aside, but still I wonder how far Sasha Baron Cohnen will go and whether it'll be funny or not. The trailer looks hilarious and I've been following him on Twitter and most of the updates are so ridiculous and wonderful that the movie BETTER be good. I'm counting on seeing it as a Matinee when it comes out so even if it's worse than I expect, I won't be too disappointed.

No, you gotta be a bit more "firm" in that stance. It's not often that you can do it, but when Borat came out, I wasn't the only person that was in the line to get our money back.

Im on the same page as you, I really thought I would hate it it was very funny. Im not to sure about this onethough, it looks like he's doing the same thing with a new character. I'll prabaly piss my self laughing but liking it is a different thing altogether.
Also did anyone else think that MDS description of Sasha sound alittle like Chi. . . Wait, no, I'd get my ass chewed out for that.

he repeated a lot of his shit from his show Da Ali G Show(there appeared Borat and Brüno) but I'm not going to see this movie not because I'm offfended but I didn't laughed a lot in Borat and his skits in his show with Brüno we're for me the most boring parts in his show

what amazes me here is that people still bought it...i mean who hasnt heard about these characters? but then voting bush in twice was a piece of satire in itself...id rather watch cohen take the piss out of rednecks than watch doug stanhope spew "offensive" material in hope of being "controversial"...depends on your personal standards, i say.
