If it's crap... We'll tell you

So everyone and their mother has at least heard of Borat, the offensive yet loveable foreign character played by the comedian, but he was sooo 2006. Now in 2009 we get another horribly offensive dude by the name of Bruno, an Austrian fashion designer that's blatantly gay and wonderfully clueless. He does what every normal celebrity does, make videos, shop, adopt an African child, but you get to see it on film!

In my opinion, Borat was better than I expected it to be and Bruno will probably be good too. Half the point of these characters is to offend people and get a reaction so I'll set the un-PC-ness aside, but still I wonder how far Sasha Baron Cohnen will go and whether it'll be funny or not. The trailer looks hilarious and I've been following him on Twitter and most of the updates are so ridiculous and wonderful that the movie BETTER be good. I'm counting on seeing it as a Matinee when it comes out so even if it's worse than I expect, I won't be too disappointed.

Cohen is a brave, BRAVE man. He could have easily been beat to death as Borat a few times and I was shocked that he is coming out with a new movie. What shocks me the most is that he looks to be in the US Army's Officer Candidate School. The two army guys who say "What type of belt is that Candidate?" its shocking that he even got into Army OCS. Impressive really.

This movie should be funny but not as funny as Borat. Only because Borat was so shocking to begin with. We, as Americans, didn't know what to expect from Cohen in a character role.

But we will see.

I'm sorry but i never liked these kinds of comedy.

Personally, I like Bruno better than Borat. However, I have never seen Borat.

We all have our preferences...

Some prefer the foreigner over the gay guy... I think the gay guy will be more mildly enjoyable to watch

....But I could be wrong.

I think it's a shame that someone has to bring a FALSE persona into an event, and what's worse is the act of using FALSE PRETENSES to get that FALSE PERSONA into a situation, then PURPOSEFULLY insulting and infuriating people simply for the "name of entertainment".

Both Bruno and Borat should prove to the world that what people are willing to except as "comedy" is justification for people running up to your mother and punching her in the face, then running to the local theater and putting it on screen for everyone to 'laugh at'. Sorry, but seriously how the HELL can anything this man puts out be called "Funny"? He's rude, offensive, insulting, and falsely identified to people BEFORE filming. One law-suit is already filed against Bruno which claims that over 30+ False businesses were created to give the "Credentials" to the character, and then when he was involved in a charity event he started to PURPOSEFULLY insult people to "get a reaction". That's something that should be enough to make people refuse to see the product, but it's sadly not.

I've heard people saying "Oh, but you don't understand. We love watching people giving "Real reactions" to events." when talking about Borat and Bruno.
And I've got to say, from the clip where he's out in the woods with the hunters talking about "Sex and the City", that it's CLEAR TO EVERYONE that it isn't a "real reaction" because the people around him WOULD NOT INVITE HIM ALONG. It's a set-up situation and it's a SCAM that Cohen should be thrown in jail for fraud. I hope that Bruno burns in hell as a film, and that legal issues prevents it from being released.

And for the record, I saw Borat and felt so insulted afterwards that I wanted to get my money back.
