So everyone and their mother has at least heard of Borat, the offensive yet loveable foreign character played by the comedian, but he was sooo 2006. Now in 2009 we get another horribly offensive dude by the name of Bruno, an Austrian fashion designer that's blatantly gay and wonderfully clueless. He does what every normal celebrity does, make videos, shop, adopt an African child, but you get to see it on film!
In my opinion, Borat was better than I expected it to be and Bruno will probably be good too. Half the point of these characters is to offend people and get a reaction so I'll set the un-PC-ness aside, but still I wonder how far Sasha Baron Cohnen will go and whether it'll be funny or not. The trailer looks hilarious and I've been following him on Twitter and most of the updates are so ridiculous and wonderful that the movie BETTER be good. I'm counting on seeing it as a Matinee when it comes out so even if it's worse than I expect, I won't be too disappointed.
Ok, I was referring to the Spielberg part. Notice all the Star Wars merchandise (action figures, animated series and movies, god knows how many book series), same thing going to Indiana Jones and that god-awful movie released last year. And the Jewish thing is a common stereotype in the movie industry.
By the way, i was hoping for a somewhat intelligent discussion on Sasha Baron Cohnen and how you think Bruno will be, not someone wasting their time arguing with everyone. Caps lock will not convince anyone that you're right so just give it up already.
I hope you realize it's called being anti-Semitic. Obviously, you don't but I hope that I can help dispel at least one bit of ignorance in this world. Course, you seem to have the idea that Superman and I are applying this to all Jewish people, which we aren't, so you're the one enforcing the stereotype and therefore are the true anti-semitic among us. HA!!!
(sorry to all those interested in Bruno for this. Yeah, this is pointless and stupid but arguing with an idiot is a nice stress relief sometimes as long as you don't take it to heart.)
Batman, if you think I'm crying over wanting to get my money back from an insulting movie, you are sadly mistaken.
I don't know about you, but I do NOT pay someone to insult me. I let them do that for free, so if I'm insulted, I should get my money back...... and I did.
