Music

For this topic i think of the ways that movies have started that grabbed your attention or set the mood or just started differently from a lot of other things.

Lord of War began the entire movie out really different by showing the life of a bullet being made and entering a body, that holds anybody's attention or shocks as well.

Watchment-explaining the superheroes and going through America's history was cool in a warped way, like the Lesbian Nurse kiss after WWII was over was a nice touch and Bob Dylan music playing throughout the whole thing.

Every "Pirate" movie beginning with Jack Sparrow has a fun start to them. When he shoots the bird from inside the coffin was fun to watch. As well as in the first when his boat sinks.

The Walking Dead starts out shocking with the Police chase and quick to Zombies.

Nearly every one of the James Bond movies always had fun starts.

Any more ideas?

Which isn't saying much.

The opening credits of Watchmen and Casino Royale.

Every Saw movie starts out with their "big" trap or their most disturbing, to let those old couples who heard they made money and were good movies and decided to give one a go- time to leave the theater and complain for their money back.

Saw 2- death mask- tries to gouge out eye, doesn't get key in time and a mask of spikes closes on his head

Saw 3- angel trap- reaches in tubes of flesh burning acid to get key, tries several times, gets key, tries to unlock but trap was rigged, so her stomach gets ripped open slow motion from several angles.

Saw 4- mosoleum trap guy with eyes sewn shut chained to a fixture in middle of room winding up his chain slowly. Hears other guy in room, decides to attack him. Other guy in room is chained too. But he can't tell the other guy because his mouth is sew shut. he notices key on the back of the other guy's neck, but in trying to get it starts a weapon fight with him. he beats the other guy to death in great detail, gets the key, the rips his stitches open showing a large amount of blood.

Saw 5- water box guy's head stuck in box of water and to breath takes pen from pocket and stabs himself in the throat.

Saw 6- a pound of flesh 2 people. which ever one cuts off the highest weighin flesh wins. One skinny girl, and fat guy. use your imagination ;)

Saw 3d- "Love" triangle just watch this one. don't want to ruin it.

dexter has one of the best openings for a tv series. creative and beautifully shot.

Why not have the iconic, innovative battle scene at the opening of your grand movie?

i couldn't agree more! we 've watched this in classes before, yes that good, yet haunting and unforgetable
