recently I watched a series of films from start to finish.. it's four movies long and not a SINGLE one of them was bad.. what series was this? LETHAL WEAPON!
It's a product of it's times but it's action is still awesome, the fights are still awesome and the continuity from film to film is perfect.
Even small roles are filled by the same actors, and they even shoot at the same house through all four films. I feel like i could walk into that house and know exactly where everything is.
Find me a series where there are 4 movies in a row that are all good, all watchable and all action packed. Hard to do.
This is a a really hard question for me. There are a lot of great film franchises out there but if I were to do this logically, I'd have to cancel out a lot of popular ones because they all have one really bad installment.
I love Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade but I absolutely hate Kingdom of the Crystal Crap and The Temple of Doom (shut up Willie!).
A New Hope and The Empire Strikes back are classics but the others all felt like toy commercials.
I think The Lord of the Ring Trilogy is probably the best made film franchise but I'll never rewatch those films out of enjoyment.
Surprisingly, I'm going to go with Back To The Future on this one. Sure, they aren't brilliant films but they are all fun entertaining flicks that I can watch separately at any time.
Dracula! All his movies count as a Franchise, right?
No? Maybe?
Okay, fine; I know I'm being a bit optimistic with this, but if Marvel keeps it up, their Avenger's franchise (Iron Man, Hulk, etc.) will be up there with the greatest movie series ever.
Obviously the star wars films (original ones) but also The Lord of the Rings trilogy and some of the Bond movies. I also really dug the Pirates of The Caribbean movies.
