What's the best shot movie you've ever seen? Plot can go right out the window.

Yeh Roger Deakins is a great DP I mean True Grit was fucking stunning to look at. Although I am always rather biased toward scorsese I genuiely think his films are almost always great looking: Bringing out the Dead, Goodfellas, The Aviator, Cape Fear to name just a few. As was mentioned before me Kubrick's films also always look impressive.
Anything by Stanley Kubrick
This.
The Kingdom of Heaven , and The Fall off of the top of my head, but way too many to even think of listing.
I didn't mean to make a repeat thread, I did a general search for "Cinematography" and nothing like this turned up. I really appreciate all the films listed though, especially yours.
I can't believe no-one's mentioned the LOTR trilogy yet, I mean, c'mon guys, what the hell?
I think it is, what planet was you raised from? It may not be THE BEST but its up there!
It's impressive, but not up there for me.
Not even FOTR?
Nope.
I totally disagree with you, sir, especially FOTR that has the most beautiful cinematography I've seen at that time.
Um, I disagree but its your opinion yes there are fantastic shot films, especially the ones I listed below but no, I really they are one of the best shot films out there. Of course there are others that are equally great or even better but I still think that LOTR needs to be recognized.
