If it's crap... We'll tell you

Who's the best live performer you've ever seen?

For me it was a Tool concert. I was less than 10 feet from the stage. In all fairness let's just say I wasn't really in a perfectly sober state of mind but I've never had such a sensory overload combined with such satisfyingly entertaining music.

I'm not asking for your opinion of Tool, I'd like to know if you've been to a concert that stood out the way this one did for me? I've been to other good concerts but it's no contests in my mind which was my favorite.

This past summer I saw Rage Against the Machine at Lollapalooza.

Best concert of my life.

DAFT PUNK Hands Down. These pics kick ass and still can't convey it all.... Of many, many shows I have witnesed, seeing Daft Punk @ Red Rock in Morrison CO destroyed any future enjoyment of "live performance" and re-defined what I thought attending a show was all about. No Comparison.
P.S. I take no credit for these pics, had to rip em from google. same tour though.

Michael Jackson in Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. 1 month later the Rolling Stones in Aloha Stadium. Then Prince. He's a bad little elf. He said, "Im not playing any old shit only new." We booed. He just laughed and said ,"SHUt the fuck up ! I'm just fucking with y'all". Best arena concert ever.

Nine Inch Nails in Los Angeles '06 I believe. Jaw dropping. Beautiful. The screen they dropped over the stage for some of the instrumentals and the images they displayed, flat out amazing.

Close seconds would be The Dilligner Escape Plan at kulturbolaget and Mike Pattons Mondo Cane at the Malmöfestival, both 2008.

Alicia Keys puts on an INCREDIBLE concert; Fall Out Boy too, but as good as those guys were John Legend is definitely the best concert I've seen; he did it ALL!
