Best Actor Ever - You Vote
Now that I have you here, let me take this opprotunity to announce...
The Spill.com 'Best Actor Ever' Tournament!!!
I saw the template for the best movie ever tournement and thought I'd see who peoples top 5 actors are of all time, same rules apply as the best movie ever and we will see who the best actor of all time is
1.) AS OF NOW, EACH MEMBER WHO WISHES TO PARTICIPATE MUST NOMINATE 5 ACTORs AT A TIME, POSTED HERE ON THIS DISCUSSION. ONCE A ACTOR IS NOMINATED, HE/SHE CANNOT BE NOMINATED AGAIN; SO EACH MEMBER MUST COME UP WITH A FRESH BATCH OF ACTORS.
2.) IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO NOMINATE A UNKNOWN FRENCH ACTOR FROM THE 1920'S PLEASE LIST SOME OF THE FILMS HE/SHE IS IN SO WE CAN CHECK HIM/HER OUT
3.) FEEL FREE TO NOMINATE ANY ACTOR YOU WISH, BUT BE SERIOUS; DON'T GO ROB SCHNEIDER COS IT IS "FUNNY" OR IRONIC. NOMINATE THE ACTORS YOU FEEL ARE THE BEST!
4.) DON'T NOMINATE A ACTOR IF YOU'VE ONLY SEEN A COUPLE OF THEIR FILMS, BECAUSE... WELL, THAT WOULD BE STUPID.
5.) THERE IS NO SET NUMBER OF ACTORS WE WILL NEED FOR THIS TOURNAMENT, SO I WILL STOP THE NOMINATIONS WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE WE HAVE ENOUGH. THEREFORE, IF EVERYONE ACTIVE ON THE SITE HAS ALREADY GIVEN THEIR NOMINATIONS, THEN I WILL ASK THAT THEY NOMINATE SOME MORE. ONCE NOMINATION TIME HAS STOPPED, I WILL GATHER UP ALL THE NOMINATIONS AND INSERT THEM INTO A RANDOMIZING BRACKET GENERATOR, WHERE THE MATCHES WILL BE DETERMINED. I WILL POST THE MATCHES HERE ONCE NOMINATION TIME IS OVER.
6.) NO BASHING ON OTHER'S PICKS! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR FUN, NOT FOR TURNING IT INTO A 6-PAGE ARGUMENT!
7.) IF YOU ARE REQUESTED TO REVISE YOUR LIST OF NOMINATIONS AND YOU DO NOT DO SO IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS, YOUR NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
8.) REMEMBER THIS IS NOT YOUR FVOURITE ACTORS THIS IS WHO YOU THINK IS BEST

Firstly you didnt give an opinion you merely pondered at the feelings of Mason Daniel. Secondly your pondering is off topic as this forum is about the best actor of all time so how bout we just leave it and you go do something better with your time than attempt to annoy me :)

I voiced my opinion in the form of a question.
The opinion being that this is a hijacked, half baked, lame-assed rip off of a forum.
I'll do whatever I like with my time, especially if it involves lamenting over how a good member's ideas are constantly being ruined.

I think it's impossible to quantify dramatic skill in a measurable medium.
What feels like a good performance for some rings hollow for others.
It's all about personal perspective, and attempting to turn personal perspective in to a contest creates a competition not of skill but of popularity and accessibility.
It's also impossible to cull the thousands of thespians that have performed in the history of cinema down to a mere five actors. -
