Im going to assume that you are referring to the Peter Jackson remake of king kong and not the jeff bridges one. But hmm... it is very interesting that listed that as a 'touching' movie as it is generally placed in more of an adventurer/ fantasy category. I have to agree with you though, the underlying beauty and the beast theme was very moving...

Scent of a Woman.The dinner scene made me drop 2-3 tears.And no, I never cried at Titanic.This is the only movie that actually touched me and made me drop some tears.
