Battleship has made $100 Million Outside The US
Deadline reports that Universal Pictures and director Peter Berg's Battleship has now crossed $100M internationally and looks set to take reach $126.7M this weekend. While this is of course good news for the studio, the sci-fi blockbuster is under pressure to do as well as possible in the 50 territories it has so far opened in as the rumoured budget of $250M and negative reviews from critics may mean it struggles to make a splash when it finally opens in the US. However, after being released in another 24 territories this weekend, it should gross an additional $56M.-comicbookmovie.com

Obviously, there's no way in hell that Battleship will win at the box-office on the summer movie weekend with so much better movies like MIB 3D, The Avengers, Dark Shadows, Prometheus, TDKR, The Pirates Band Of Misfits and Piranha 3DD in the fray.

Bit harsh. Thought it was ok myself. Easy going special effects fest and the final 20 minutes of American jingoism has me smiling from ear to ear. Also the early soccer match was pretty funny just too. Which parts did you hate during the film?
