Bad movies that has concepts of potential.
So basically I'm talkin' about movies with certain concepts that weren't handled too well by the Director, nor had a good enough story writer.
Personally I think you could actually make Twilight's laughable "romance" into a gritty character study about how fucked up a guy like Edward would really be in real life.
Any other suggestions?

The Star Wars prequels had a lot of potential to be great if it wasn't for the fact that George Lucas cramming a lot of CGI and forced the story to connect the prequels to match with the original trilogy

I'm thinking that the street fighter movies, DB evolution and the latest tekken movie could have done better because you don't necessarily ignore cannon to make a good adapted source material. You would have to fix it up because most of these weren't meant for live action films and its audience who are less likely to let these things slide.

Mother of Tears from Dario Argento... This guy is not know for his great writing, but this mythology had a lot of potential for a great scary witch movie. It should have been written by someone else and then directed by Argento (and he should have given it some nice visuals like Inferno and Suspiria)

I don't think Supergirl was bad but if it was treated with the same respect as Superman the movie had it could've been great. As it is, its just average and it shouldn't have been.

Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 had a very interesting concept, and you felt what they were trying to do throughtout the whole movie, mess up after messup. Terrible movie, wish it would have had a better execution.

Every time I see clips of this movie I want to watch the entire thing. It seems to be considered mediocre overall, though....that's a shame. I can always watch Jacob's Ladder instead.
