Monkeyiron posted a discussionThe new Avengers vs x-men is coming out in April, and it looks like it will be epic. But I haven't read any Marvel comics yet, I've mainly stuck to DC, Dark Horse, and Image (mainly for the walking dead). But I wanna know if I can get the Avengers vs x-men story arc without being confused about continuity or if they allude to other things I haven't read yet. So do you guys think I should get it, do you think it will be good? If not to either of those, why? Thanks if you answer, I wanna get at least this story arc from Marvel. So please give me your advice.

Permalink Reply by Ultimate Snyderman on January 16, 2012 at 8:29pm Not necessarily. For example Wolverine and the x-men is a good book to check out, even if you have not caught up with the series. All you need to know is that wolverine runs the school. Other good marvel books include venom Ultimate Spider-man and Daredevil

Give it a shot. If you don't like the first issue, don't pick up the second.

I'm passing on this event. Its really the aftermath that matters

Permalink Reply by James Rhodes on May 6, 2012 at 11:43am I've liked it so far, I would suggest reading up on the latest happenings in Marvel before checking it out though.
