If it's crap... We'll tell you

silver surfer forever

As far as I'm concerned, the right movie made number 1 this weekend

Now this is not to knock Terminator Salvation, but Night at the Museum II was the more entertaining movie of the two and deserves to be number 1, Night at the Museum II made $53,500,000 while Terminator Salvation $43,010,000 in three days (Fri to Sun). I believe that most people who see both movies and are objective and aren't rating Terminator higher just because it's Terminator will agree.

it's Terminator will agree
huh?

well considering it was the weekend to me it makes sense, night at the museum 2 was a family film and since families usually have the weekend of it would do better than something like terminator which is more of an adult fare, since parents also had to buy the ticket to see it with their kids and terminator would be less likely to have families, plus terminators a well known story by now and people aren't looking to risk it after the last one.

Yeah the last one, was not great. I think it could have been but I think it really was made just so they could get one more movie with Arnold.

I saw Museum and was VERY dissapointed with it.

I thought that it might, but I'm sure I'll have a chance to judge for myself when I have to watch it with my kids at the dollar movie or on DVD (cause I'm not spending 50 Bucks on that movie). There was no real reason story wise after the first one so I expect that it was mostly made to cash in on the money. Young kids don't require much of a story line for them to like a movie (i.e my kids loved SharkBoy and LavaGirl) so the cash is plentiful for a sequel after a successful first movie. I hope at least there will be something for me to enjoy along with the kids....and less Robin Williams.

I haven't seen either movie yet but based on strictly what kind of movies they are I think that night at the museum II was placed perfectly for families. The kids are getting out for summer break...what a great movie for the whole family to watch. That being said I liked the first movie alot as did my kids but it was kinda cheesy for me, and I am begining to not like Robin Williams more and more these days (his acting really annoys). I just hope that this movie was not phoned in just to make money cause I hate when they do that. Duces!!

I totally agree, Silver Surfer. I saw both films and Night at the Museum 2 was the stronger film to me. I was pleasantly suprised with it, in fact. I expected a cheap sequel for some quick money, but this turned out to be a very decent family film. It was silly, but for what it was, it still came as FULL PRICE for me.

I felt the same way

I will say that even though I haven't seen Terminator yet, I didn't expect for this to be the great movie everyone else did. I think that this movie was more of a setup movie for the next one that will be the epic story that everyone is waiting for. I don't think if they had made John Connor who he is supposed to be in this film that it would have been able to lead into the other movies that are planned. I thought McG would be building the Adult John Connor Character in the same way that Christopher Nolan did Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins. Of course this is all being said without actually seeing the movie....I had the option to see Terminator or Star Trek and I opted to see Star Trek.

In Hollywood a "logline" is a single-sentence synopsis of a script or story, a "grabber" designed to pique interest The crew at postmodernbarney.com came up with some hysterical one sentence descriptions of films
