I've noticed this recently that these two subjects have gone from a mer whispered to public debate. In just a month two states have legalized same sex marriage and another one is putting forward the bill.
Now marijuana has gained great momentum.
Let me be clear about this. I have never smoked marijuana. But just because I don't do something doesn't mean I can't be for its legalization. The war on drugs has failed in every country that has one. Right now in the States roughly 52% of criminals were convicted for possession or use of the drug.
Same sex marriage should be legal but as for legalizing pot, well I don't know about that. Do we really to see a bunch of high mother fuckers running around doing crazy shit but I could also be good cause Amsterdam seems to have no problem with weed as far as I know.
Well I think same-sex marriage is ok I mean they love each other.
And maybe if they legalize marijuana there wont be so much drug dealers and people would stop fighting and killing eachother for drugs.I dont know?
With Obama president anything is possible.
I am highly in favor of marijuana legalization. I find it ridiculous that any drugs are illegal, including cocaine, heroin, LSD, ecstacy, etc. In a truly free society, an individual would be able to put anything in their bodies as long as the rights of other individuals are not infringed in the process.
Cocaine, Heroin and Ecstasy are the exception for me, its ruined so many people lives that those drugs should never be legalized, my Sister has had problem with both of those drugs and it destroyed everything that she had, that includes her 2 sons that me and my mother are raising now.
id be ok with same-sex if they would STOP ASKING TO GET MARRIED IN RELIGIOUS BUILDINGS, i mean they don't care for religion otherwise so why do they have to force a religion to bend its rules for them, plus i checked with a reverend and he said they would be fine with gay marriage if they didn't have to have any part in it(since it wouldn't be going against the rules of their religion cause their is no blessing from any religious figure)
as for marijuana I hope it does, right now in mexico people are getting harmed due to the drug trade there and knowing how easy and cheap it is to grow, and lets face it amsterdam is still around despite their legalization of marijuana, so if they can do it why not us?
They're not forcing religious organizations to marry people. They're making it legal so they can have marriage status which can even be done at city hall by getting the certificate.
