Anyone interested in creating comics?
So here's THE pitch. What I've been doing for fun these past few weeks is creating comics, but since I cannot draw worth a lick, I've been going the Machinima route
world premier :) this is page 1 of the comic I'm currently working on
Basically I wrote the script (originally to be a movie machinima like Red v Blue) and took screen shots from scenes (this game is the Movies) but other games would make good comic art, like World of Warcraft, Spore, Freedom Force (for super hero types) and many many more.
If you're interested I'm going to create a group, work mostly through MSN. Join. Now, the key to this is to have fun, not going to make money or break into "Zee Business" but simply to have an entertaining comic out on the web.
Some things I don't want this to be - a parody web comic thing, waaay too many of those out there. Unless the writing is like damn near perfect, this should be full issues, average 20 page single story "issues", I'll have some rules, but not like, hardline rules in the group.
If you're interested in writing, you have an idea and need help in the writing process. Hey, any one who can do custom art, even like cover art, or whatever, the comics don't have to take art from video games, any source if it fits.
Anyway, let's see what we can get started here. I do have webspace a buddy is donating, that will be up and running in the next couple of days.
